Care Guide

Each of our handmade items is crafted with care to ensure both durability and style. To maintain the quality and beauty of your leather goods, please follow the care guidelines below.

Our products are made from premium leather, known for its exceptional properties:

  • Moisture-Resistant: Naturally repels water, making it ideal for outdoor adventures.
  • Soft and Supple: Feels luxurious and comfortable in your hand.
  • Flexible and Durable: Can withstand high loads and rough use.
  • Aesthetic and Unique: Develops a distinctive patina with time, enhancing its natural beauty and giving each piece his own character.

Important Notes About Leather

  • Color Transfer: Fat leather may initially rub off. This is a temporary characteristic and not a defect.
  • Stretch Over Time: Fat leather can expand slightly with use, so it is not recommended for dogs that pull excessively.
  • Color Variations: Due to the natural absorption of dyes, slight differences in color may occur between batches.
  • Natural Markings: Scars and bumps on the leather are natural features, reflecting the authenticity of the material.

Why We Handstitch:

We prioritize long-lasting quality by avoiding the use of rivets or book screws, which can weaken leather over time. Instead, we handstitch every piece.

Caring for Your Leather Products

General Tips

  • Avoid Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can dry out and damage the leather.
  • Dry Naturally: If the product gets wet, allow it to air dry at room temperature. Do not use heaters or direct sunlight for drying.
  • Clean Gently: Wipe dirt off with a dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use saddle soap, massage gently, and rinse by hand.
  • No Harsh Cleaners: Avoid using cleaning products other than saddle soap or neutral soap.
  • No Machine Washing: Never put leather products in the washing machine.

Washing Instructions

  • Hand wash with cold water and neutral soap.
  • Remove excess water from leather and hardware using a soft cloth or towel.
  • Hang to dry in the shade.
  • If needed, you can apply a leather balm or neutral cream for waterproofing.

What to Avoid

  • Do not use the products in swimming pools or at the beach.
  • Avoid aggressive detergents, soaking, twisting, or bleaching.
  • Do not iron or use a dryer.
  • Prevent contact with solvents.

About Our Brass Hardware

Our brass fittings are designed for durability and elegance. Over time, brass may naturally oxidize. This is not a defect but a natural property of the material.

Disclaimer

Leather is a premium natural material. Variations in color, texture, and small irregularities are a hallmark of its authenticity and quality. These characteristics are not defects but evidence of the leather’s natural origins.
